Cornel is a large camp site site on the banks of Lake Crafnant in Snowdonia, North Wales. In addition to 25 acres of camping grounds it comprises a fully equipped campers block, with toilets, showers and a drying room plus a converted farmhouse divided into two discrete units which sleeps a total of 30 in five bunkrooms. Each unit has its own purpose built modern kitchen, showers, and comfortable lounge, (the larger also has a drying room) making it the ideal base for groups wishing to spend time in a safe and beautiful environment yet within walking distance of the Carneddau peaks.

Cornel is owned and operated by the Welsh Scout Council and the large house - known as Ty Cornel -and the smaller Annex (Cornel fach) are available for hire to groups and organisations of young people and to industry, schools, D of E award organisers and Universities. Scouts, D of E award groups and other youth organisations also frequently use Cornel for camping during their expeditions.

Situated at 200m at the head of a valley on the shores of Llyn Crafnant, Cornel Scout Centre lies amid sixty acres of land and offers camping normally between April & September (with its own toilets, showers & dry shelter facilities) and indoor accommodation available all year round. In 2003, the smaller of the two buildings was demolished and completely rebuilt to current standards, and now sleeps 10 on two floors and is completely self - contained.
