28th February 2017

The 24th World Scout Jamboree will take place at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia between the 22 July – 2 August 2019. This is the largest event delivered by Scouting worldwide and 45,000 young people and adult volunteers are expected to attend from over 150 countries.

Montgomeryshire Area are running a REC 2 Full First Aid Certificate Course at Guilsfield Jubilee Scout Hall (near Welshpool) on the weekend of 1st/2nd April 2017 and there are some places left.

Youth Work Excellence Awards, 23 June 2017

Nominations are now open!

The Youth Work Excellence Awards will take place in Cardiff on 23 June 2017. The evening is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate outstanding youth work projects and youth workers from across Wales.

Many of you will be aware that ScoutsCymru would normally hold a Spring Conference during the month of March.  This year ScoutsCymru will break away from tradition and will be supporting the promotion of The Scout Association Programme Forum and DSNC Support Days.  Both events are being run by Headquarters and will be taking place in Wales.  More details for each event can be found below.

Your local Community Impact Support Day is taking place at Builth Wells High School, College Road, Builth Wells, LD2 3BW on the 12th November. 

Lunch is provided and attendance is free.
