Nominations open for the Celebration of Scouting Awards 2019

Nominations for the Celebration of Scouting Awards 2019 are now open with groups and volunteers encouraged to put themselves and their colleagues forward.

The awards, now in their third year, recognise and celebrate Scouting successes throughout Wales.

There are eight categories of awards:

  • Young Volunteer Award - Recognising an individual volunteer (14-25 years of age in a Leadership role) who’s involvement in every aspect of Scouting is exceptional.
  • Adult Volunteer Award - Recognising an individual volunteer (18 years of age and above) who’s involvement in every aspect of Scouting is exceptional.
  • Trustee Volunteer Award - Recognising the commitment, the hard work and the dedication of a trustee or committee member.
  • Group Award - Recognising a group of volunteers whose involvement in every aspect of Scouting is exceptional.
  • Community Impact Award - Recognising a group of volunteers or individual who have created exceptional positive social changes to benefit the wider community.
  • New & Innovative Scouting Award - Recognising a group of volunteers who have reached new levels, through the provision of scouting, to mirror the community in which they live.
  • Lifetime Achievement Award - Recognising an individual volunteer (18 years of age and above) for their outstanding contribution to Scouting.
  • Inspirational Volunteer Award - Recognising an individual volunteer (18 years of age and above) who is a role model and an inspiration to others.

Chief Commissioner for Wales, Rhian Moore, said: “We are eternally grateful to our volunteers across the country for their hard work, commitment and dedication in preparing young people in Wales with skills for life. There is much to be celebrated and these awards are a great way of doing just that. I’d encourage everyone to consider making a nomination.”

The deadline for entries is Friday 6th September and winners will be announced at a ceremony during the ScoutsCymru AGM in Llandridnod Wells on October 26th.

Enwebiadau ar agor ar gyfer Gwobrau Dathlu Sgowtiaid 2019

Mae enwebiadau nawr ar agor ar gyfer Gwobrau Dathlu Sgowtiaid 2019 ac anogir grwpiau a gwirfoddolwyr i gynnig eu hunain a’u cydweithwyr am wobr.

Mae’r gwobrau, sydd bellach yn eu trydydd blwyddyn, yn cydnabod a dathlu llwyddianau Sgowtiaid ar hyd a lled Cymru.

Mae wyth categori yn y gwobrau:

  • Gwobr Gwirfoddolwr Ifanc – Cydnabod gwirfoddolwr unigol (14-25 mlwydd oed mewn rôl arweiniol) sydd wedi dangos ymrwymiad neilltuol i bob agwedd o’r Sgowtiaid.
  • Gwobr Gwirfoddolwr Aeddfed – Cydnabod gwirfoddolwr unigol (18 mlwydd oed neu hŷn) sydd wedi dangos ymrwymiad neilltuol i bob agwedd o’r Sgowtiaid.
  • Gwobr Ymddiriedolwr Gwirfoddol – Cydnabod ymroddiad, gwaith caled ac ymrwymiad ymddiriedolwr neu aelod o bwyllgor.
  • Gwobr Grŵp – Cydnabod grŵp o wirfoddolwyr sydd wedi dangos ymrwymiad neilltuol i bob agwedd o’r Sgowtiaid.
  • Gwobr Effaith Cymunedol – Cydnabod grŵp o wirfoddolwyr neu unigolyn sydd wedi achosi newidiadau cymdeithasol cadarnhaol eithriadol er budd y gymuned ehangach.
  • Gwobr Sgowtiaid Arloesol a Newydd – Cydnabod grŵp o wirfoddolwyr sydd wedi cyrraedd lefelau newydd, drwy ddarpariaeth Sgowtiaid, er mwyn adlewyrchu’r gymuned lle maent yn byw.
  • Gwobr Cyflawniad Oes – Cydnabod gwirfoddolwr unigol (18 mlwydd oed neu hŷn) am eu cyfraniad eithriadol i’r Sgowtiaid.
  • Gwobr Gwirfoddolwr Ysbrydoledig – Cydnabod gwirfoddolwr unigol (18 mlwydd oed neu hŷn) sydd yn esiampl ac yn ysbrydoliaeth i eraill.

Dywedodd Prif Gomisiynydd Cymru, Rhian Moore: “Rydym wir yn gwerthfawrogi gwaith caled, ymroddiad ac ymrwymiad ein gwirfoddolwyr ar hyd a lled y wlad yn paratoi pobl ifanc yng Nghymru â sgiliau bywyd. Mae cymaint i’w ddathlu ac mae’r gwobrau yma yn ddull arbennig o wneud hynny. Buaswn yn annog pawb i ystyried cynnig enwebiad.”

Dyddiad cau ceisiadau yw Dydd Gwener, 6ed o Fedi a cyhoeddir yr enillwyr mewn seremoni yn ystod Cyfarfod Flynyddol ScoutsCymru yn Llandrindod ar y 26ain o Hydref.
