Put the 'V' in 'CV'

We’re on the lookout for professionals to join Team Cymru, a strategic team led by our Chief Commissioner for Wales, Rhian Moore, to help shape Scouting in Wales.

It’s a great time to join the organisation as we’re growing and evolving.

If helping over 14,000 young people in Wales develop the skills they need to succeed, now and in the future, is not enough of a reason to volunteer with us, here’s five other reasons:

Use your professional skills to help the next generation

We live in a world that is becoming increasingly complex for the younger generation with the rise of social media and technology. You can help develop young people’s skills and create future leaders, helping them navigate life’s complexities and uncertainties. Through becoming a volunteer, you will be supporting young people and other volunteers in Wales to be more resilient and aware of the importance of good physical and mental health.

Gain career enhancing experience and boost your CV

Dedicating your spare time to a great cause is an attractive quality for employers. It shows them you are proactive, ambitious and want to help others. By volunteering with Team Cymru, you will be enhancing your leadership skills working alongside other professionals, which will be great experience to add to your CV whether you’re just starting out in your career or want to take the next step on the ladder

Grow your skill set

91% of our volunteers say that Scouting has helped them to develop key skills. As well as leadership skills, you’ll be able to improve your communication, ability to work in a team, problem solving skills, adaptability and time management – all while having fun!

Make new friends

You will meet many likeminded people through volunteering with ScoutsCymru. There will be many exciting experiences you share, and you will constantly teach each other new things. You will be working towards a common goal and will help each other to succeed in every way possible.

Something to feel proud of

By giving your time to others you will gain a personal sense of accomplishment contributing to your overall happiness. You’ll be able to make a real difference to the young people of Wales and have a huge impact.

So, what are you waiting for? Volunteering with ScoutsCymru can make you happier, healthier, it will boost your career and you will be inspiring the next generation to be the very best versions of themselves!
