Duke of Edinburgh’s Expedition Assessor Accreditation Scheme (EAAS)

The purpose of the EAAS is to prepare, train and accredit Assessors to assess Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expedition.

It is a one day, classroom based course.

Candidates will have experience of expeditions and navigation. They will also have competence in their chosen modes of transport (walking, paddling, sailing, biking or horse riding), and ideally hold an activity permit – if appropriate for their activity.

The course involves an element of pre-course on-line learning prior to attending the course.

Time: 9:15am – 4:00pm


  • £15.00 (for members of the scout association and includes DofE admin fee)
  • £35.00 for external non-scout association candidates
