Duke of Edinburgh’s Expedition Assessor Accreditation Scheme

This scheme is one of a series of courses throughout the United Kingdom, which will bring
together delegates from Licensed Organisations, Assessor Networks and Approved Activity Providers.  The purpose of the EAAS is to prepare, train and accredit Assessors to undertake expedition assessments.

It starts with a one day classroom based course, after which the candidate has 2 years in which to become fully accredited.

Candidates will have experience of hiking, navigating and expeditions and ideally have a T1 or T2 permit.

The course involves an element of pre-course on-line learning prior to attending the course.
